There are 2 assignments to complete for the Diploma in Soap Making. These are all straightforward to complete once you have completed the course as we provide you with the information, templates, and examples you need to complete them successfully. For the formulations, we do expect you to have tried these out (ie you have made up the formulas to see what the product is like).
If anything you submit needs correcting or altering the Cosmetic Scientist who marks them will let you know and you can make the necessary changes and resubmit the assignments.

Assignment 1: Calculating a batch of soap
Using the recipe provided in the worksheet, calculate all of the required amounts for a batch containing 800g of oils, with 5% superfat and 30% lye concentration. You may use a soap calculator for this task.
Assignment 2: Compare and contrast two soap recipes
Provided in the worksheet are two recipes for cold-process soap. Compare and contrast them by answering the questions.
