When it comes to ordering ingredients and materials for the Advanced Certificate in High-Performance Serum Formulation, you have three options:
1) Wait until you have completed Module 2 Serum Ingredients
This is a large module that covers a vast number of different ingredients. It is where we also provide some recommendations of where to buy more specialist ingredients such as actives.
If you order ingredients after you have completed Module 2, you'll be able to order those that best meet your needs and preferences.
By this point, you will also have completed Lesson 1.4 Formulating for different skin types, where you will learn about ingredients that best suit different skin types
2) Complete the theory first
You can wait until you have completed the theoretical side of the course, looked through the formulation examples and guidelines, and researched ingredients in detail. At that point, you can select the ingredients and materials you need to practice your formulations. You can also do this on a module-by-module basis if you wish, for example by going through the lessons and examples in Module 3 and deciding what materials to order.
3) Order a small starter supply of ingredients
You can order a small starter supply of ingredients before commencing the course or early on in your studies to practice with. You can order more ingredients as you progress through the course and have decided the types of products you wish to formulate.
