Formulating with Natural Surfactants will teach you how to make a wide range of cleansing and foaming products with natural surfactants. Formulating with surfactants is very different from formulating other types of skincare products, as you need to understand the science of surfactants first. This is covered in detail in the course alongside many example formulas you can practice making yourself.
Surfactants are not covered at all on our Certificate in Making Natural Skincare Products or our Advanced Certificate in High-Performance Serum Formulation so for students taking these courses all the information will be brand new. You'll learn a completely new skill set and will be able to create a range of completely different types of products.
The first three modules of the Formulating with Natural Surfactants course are provided as a bonus class for students enrolled in our Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation. There are two additional modules in Formulating with Natural Surfactants that students on our Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation may enjoy taking, these are Module 4: Foaming Cleansers and Shower Foam Formulas and Module 5: Bubble Bath and Hand Wash Formulas. Both of these modules contain brand new formulation examples and will enable students to make a range of additional surfactant-based products: foaming cleansers, shower foam/mousse, hand wash, and bubble bath. Contact our customer service team so you can skip the first three modules inside the Club and move straight to Modules 4 and 5.
Students of our Diploma in Natural Haircare Formulation will already be familiar with surfactants as they are a key ingredient in shampoo. There is so much more to learn about surfactants, however! Formulating with Natural Surfactants teaches you how to make a wide range of surfactant-based skincare products. You'll learn how to formulate gentle, natural face washes, body washes, shower gel, hand wash, bubble baths, shower foam, and foaming cleansers. Contact our customer service team so you can skip Module 1 inside the Club and move straight to Modules 2,3 4 and 5.
