In our Diploma in Natural Haircare Formulation course we give example formulas and teach you to create your own natural haircare products. We provide formulation templates for each type of product and lots of ingredient information to enable you to do this. We also give you 39 example formulas to learn and practice with.

Many of these examples are formulated to COSMOS or Ecocert Natural or Organic standards.  We sent over 25 products for challenge/microbiological testing and have included all the Preservative Efficacy Test (PET) reports in the course. These prove our formulations are preserved effectively and help you learn how to preserve your own formulations.

The updated course includes enhanced guidance on caring for and formulating for different hair types including additional product formulations often requested by our students with Afro-textured hair including curl custard/pudding, leave-in conditioning cream, sealing products, hair butter, hair and scalp oil, and edge control. We worked closely with Deborah Johnson, consultant and co-owner of SIMPLYGorgeous hair salon which specializes in Afro haircare on the new course content.

There are new formulations for Lavender and Cedarwood Conditioning Shampoo, Argan and Geranium Shampoo Bar (using a cold-process method), PHA and AHA Exfoliating Scalp Serum, Leave-in Conditioning Repair Cream with Black Castor Oil, Shea and Black Castor Oil Hair Butter, Coconut and Shea Curl Custard/Pudding, Black Castor Seed Hair and Scalp Oil, Edge Control Stick.
