Emulsifiers are necessary to formulate emulsions (eg creams and lotions) and our courses include details of a range of natural emulsifiers, many of which are permitted in certified organic products.


As the term 'natural' is open to interpretation we use the COSMOS/Ecocert certification standards as a guideline. These are the most well-respected, thorough, and strict natural standards that exist today.


The ingredients we use, therefore, adhere to these guidelines in terms of what they are derived from and how they are processed. The preservatives and emulsifiers we use are ones that are permitted by the standard.


Our Certificate in Making Natural Skincare Products includes details for four different natural/organic emulsifiers and provides many recipes that use these emulsifiers. We also give you some other emulsifier options if you are not able to obtain these.
