In our courses you can learn how to create cosmetics to help lighten or brighten hyperpigmentation and create a more even skin tone. Cosmetic products will provide results over a longer period of time, since more potent anti-pigmentation ingredients are usually only permitted in drugs. We don't include how to formulate skin whitening creams.
In our Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation you’ll learn how to formulate with several ingredients to help with hyperpigmentation. These are
- Niacinamide
- Licorice root
- AHAs and BHAs.
We include several formulation examples in the course targeted for hyperpigmentation including Facial lotion for hyperpigmentation with licorice and niacinamide, Licorice and niacinamide gel for hyperpigmentation and several brightening AHA and BHA products.
In our Advanced Certificate in High-Performance Serum Formulation you’ll learn how to formulate with some more advanced ingredients that can help with hyperpigmentation. In this course we include:
- Vitamin A (including retinol and retinyl palmitate)
- Vitamin C (including ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl palmitate and ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate)
- Niacinamide
- Licorice root
- Arbutin
- AHAs and BHAs.
We include an example formulation for a Brightening serum for hyperpigmentation featuring many of these advanced ingredients , plus other example formulas are also suitable for hyperpigmentation including Vitamin C serums, Vitamin A serums and AHA serums.
