The Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation is primarily designed for people who want to launch their own brand. We cover how to formulate a wide range of products and how to identify your brand values, target customers and what to do to sell your products legally. You could alternatively offer formulation consultancy to other independent natural/organic brands, ie help them with their formulations or formulate products for them.
Graduating from the Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation opens up some exciting career prospects and we have written a guide to careers in skincare formulation which you can read here: www.schoolofnaturalskincare.com/careers-in-skincare-formulation/
Many of our students have achieved their dream of establishing their own beauty brands. You can read about some of our student success stories here: www.schoolofnaturalskincare.com/student-success-stories/
If you want to work as a cosmetic scientist for a large brand/manufacturer most will require both formulation experience (which our course gives) plus a science degree (which ours does not give). If you search on a large jobs website for "formulation chemist" or "cosmetic chemist" you will see the types of qualifications they require, which will most likely be a science degree. The interesting thing is that many science degrees (even Cosmetic Science degrees) don't include much practical information about formulating natural or organic cosmetics. So our courses would work well alongside a science-based degree if this is the type of work you want to go into.
Our courses are accredited by the CPD Association and you can read about our accreditations and memberships here: www.schoolofnaturalskincare.com/accreditations-and-memberships/
